Meet Kent Emry

  • Kent Emry is an entrepreneur with a strong back ground in the healthcare industry. Kent owned and operated 8 skilled nursing facilities in Oregon, Colorado and California. He is the founder of Oregon Infectious Disease Solutions which was formed with the purpose of helping strategize for solutions in response to the COVID 19 pandemic. He is the chairman of the board for BioCorRX, a publicly traded company specializing in addiction treatment. Kent graduated from Oregon State University and holds a bachelors degree in Health Care Administration. He is a licensed nursing administrator.

In 2022 while participating in a stock car race, Kent was in an accident. His car had clipped a hole in the track and his car flipped in the air. Kent walked away but did not know that both of his corraded arteries were damaged, one severed completely and one partially. Four nights later Kent suffered a massive stroke. Initially the stroke left him unable to walk, talk and have mobility in his right side. Kent has made amazing progress since his stroke. He is back at work, back to jiujitsu, driving, flying, and more things that he loves. His Aphasia is the last tell-tale sign of his stroke and even that now is improving every day.

Kent has been fortunate to attend intense Aphasia programs and speech therapy. These programs are not covered by insurance and are private pay by the patient. Because of these not being covered by insurance you usually will not hear about them until you go look for them.

His passion now is to educate people about Aphasia and to support those who have Aphasia.
